For 15 years Provincia has been providing products from Portugal to clients and corporations from all over the world through its store in Provincetown, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. PROVINCIA is the Portuguese word for Province, and pays tribute to the Portuguese heritage of Provincetown by offering fine gifts from Portugal and more.
Provincia, Inc. was founded in 1997 by Manuel A. Sousa and John O'Shea. Born in Lisbon, Portugal. Manuel lived for over 10 years in New York City where he worked as Product Manager first at the Portuguese National Tourist Office and later at the Portuguese Trade Commission. With John they have been traveling throughout Portugal and Spain during the last 20 years visiting factories and olarias meeting suppliers of ceramics, pottery, tiles, earthenware and many others products. Some of them produced exclusive designs for Provincia namely our newest creation, the Cutlery dinnerware (picture below).
