Manny Sousa
has been playing the piano since very young. His first interest was ragtime, mostly the work of Scott Joplin and Zez Confrey, the blues and boogie woogie. Since the early 70' the music of Elton John and his piano fascinated him. Today Manny Sousa plays over 65 of Elton John greatest hits. He played at the Patchuca restaurant in Lisbon, Portugal and in New York City at the Intermezzo in the Upper East Side. Manny also was hired or invited to play in special events such as weddings, receptions, galas and other gatherines in places such as The Plaza Hotel in New York, The Ritz Carlton and the Hilton and Towers in Chicago the Hotel Palace the Seteais in Sintra, Portugal. Other musicians and groups he covers includes Steve Wonder, Paul Simon, Keith Jarret, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, Bee Gees, Billy Joel, James Taylor, Chicago, Willie Nelson, Whitney Huston, Jeffrey Osborne.
